Portsmouth FC

Portsmouth FC is an English professional football team based in Fratton, Portsmouth. The club was founded in 1898 and won its first major honour in 1939 with victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup final. Since then the club has won consecutive First Division titles in 1949 and 1950 as well as the FA Cup again in 2008. Portsmouth are fierce rivals with neighbours Southampton as well as Plymouth Argyle. The team play at home in blue shirts, white shorts and red socks. The club is nicknamed ‘The Blues’ or ‘The Blue Army’ and plays at Fratton Park which seats 20,709.
