Jerry Hall and Bill Wyman will get together to present the best play award

He is the former bassist of the Rolling Stones, she is the former wife of the group's frontman Mick Jagger.

On Monday, Bill Wyman and Jerry Hall will team up to present the best play prize at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards at the Savoy Hotel .

Since leaving the Stones in 1992, Wyman has pursued a successful solo career with his band The Rhythm Kings.

They will play two shows at the Jazz Café at 4pm and 8pm on Sunday as part of their British tour. Wyman will take a break to present the award to one of three plays: Peter Morgan's Frost/Nixon, Tom Stoppard's Rock 'N' Roll or Conor McPherson's The Seafarer.

He will be joined by Hall, West End star of The Graduate and High Society, to present the accolade at theatreland's most prestigious awards ceremony.

It also promises to be a busy afternoon for Michael Sheen. He is nominated in the category of best actor for Frost/Nixon, and is up against Kevin Spacey for A Moon For The Misbegotten, and Rufus Sewell for Rock 'N' Roll.

In addition, Sheen will present the best actress award. In the running are Kathleen Turner for Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf ?; Frances O'Connor for Tom And Viv; and Sinead Cusack for Rock 'N' Roll.

Culture minister David Lammy will present the editor's award, recognising an outstanding contribution to the West End. Ned Sherrin will be master of ceremonies and the event will be hosted by Lady Rothermere, wife of Lord Rothermere, chairman of the Daily Mail and General Trust plc.

Guests will include Jeremy Irons, Kristin Scott Thomas, Stephen Daldry, Kim Cattrall, Patrick Stewart, Jane Asher, Brian Cox, Eve Best, Damian Lewis, Elena Roger, Richard Wilson, Tim Curry, Rosamund Pike, Nicholas Hytner, and Diana Quick.

Also attending will be Alan Cumming, Alice Eve, Dominic West, Michael Frayn, Lesley Manville, Sonia Friedman, Samantha Janus, Jodhi May, Jude Kelly, Sir Peter

Hall, Dame Joan Plowright, Iain Glen, Sir Donald Sinden, Sally Greene, Juliet Stevenson, Douglas Hodge, Nick Moran, David Lan, Nicholas Wright, Rufus Norris and Sir John Mortimer.
