Ricky Gervais's chum Robin Ince hosts a chilling Friday 13th show, The Boat Show sets sail and Will Smith and Mitch Benn are up to some Monkey Business...

Robin Ince's Horrifying Book Club
Bloomsbury Theatre, WC1
To coincide with the Friday the 13th date, Ricky Gervais's chum Ince hosts a chillingly humourous version of his regular anarchic literary group, with ghoulish gags and terrifying readings from the likes of Justin "Jeremy Lion" Edwards and character comedian Jo Neary. Plus much more, including scarily bad jokes from veteran oddball Peter Buckley-Hill.
(020 7388 8822). Fri 13 Apr, 7pm.

Paul Sinha/Adam Bloom
The Boat Show, SW1
A great line-up at this floating club on the north bank of the Thames. Both Sinha and Bloom have rapid-fire deliveries, which means you should certainly get plenty of laughs-per-minute here. Sinha is more political, Bloom is simply a master of manic-comic self-obsession. Deadpan eccentric Simon Evans should calm things down a little.
(07932 658895) Fri 13 Apr, 7pm.

Will Smith/Mitch Benn
Monkey Business, NW5
Another fine mess of comedians at this Kentish Town club. This Saturday's bill boasts self-deprecating, overgrown public schoolboy Will Smith and musical parodist Mitch Benn, who does a mean Liam Gallagher impression. Also appearing is acidic magician-turned-stand-up Carey Marx, who treads a fine line between offending and breaking various taboos.
(07932 338203) Sat 14 Apr, 7.30pm.
