These two young ballerinas have been chosen to appear on stage with one of the world's greatest ballet companies.

When the Bolshoi Ballet performs La Bayadere at the Coliseum next month, 13-year-old Charlotte Evans and Lara Lucano, 12, will dance the roles of the water carriers.

Both girls attend the Susan Robinson ballet school in Byfleet, Surrey, and are among a group of girls from the school who will be performing with the Bolshoi this season.

La Bayadere, created in 1877 and set in India, tells the story of a temple dancer's doomed love for a warrior and culminates in a dream sequence in the Kingdom of the Shades.

Charlotte and Lara are almost seasoned professionals themselves, having danced last year with the Bolshoi Ballet in the Pharaoh's Daughter at the Royal Opera House. La Bayadere runs from 2-4 August.

I'm absolutely thrilled that the "Bolshoi Ballet" is being promoted.
As an Ex Professional Ballet dancer & one who is very familiar with the work of the aforementioned Ballet Company I shall be attending at least three performances at the Coliseum along with my husband.
I am so touched & genuinely surprised by your mentioning this fantanstic Company that I find myself speechless at this particular moment ------ sorry.
