Dame Diana Rigg has become the latest actress to gain permission to light up on the London stage.
She has been given approval to smoke in a new production of All About My Mother at the Old Vic - following in the footsteps of James Jagger, the first person to be given the special licence.
She plays an actress, Huma Rojo, in the adaptation of Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar's 1999 film of the same name.
It tells the story of Manuela, a single mother from Madrid, who goes in search of her dead son's father, a transvestite living in Barcelona. Rigg plays an actress the son admired, and for whom Manuela goes to work as a personal assistant.
The play is previewing and officially opens next week.
