Oxo mum picks unsavoury play

Evening Standard   7 Sep 2007

Forever the Oxo mum, actress Lynda Bellingham is going for a radical change of image. She is to star in Vincent River, a play about homosexuality and murder by dramatist and artist Philip Ridley.

The play premiered at the Hampstead Theatre in 2000 and comes to Trafalgar Studios in the West End this autumn.

Bellingham, 59, will play Anita, a woman visited by a teenager whom she comes to realise was either the lover or murderer of her gay son.
