Kenwright signs Dream boy band of Josephs

Theatre producer Bill Kenwright is investing close to £500,000 of his own money in a new boy band made up of rejected Josephs.

He is bringing out an album by seven contenders from the BBC TV talent show Any Dream Will Do. Kenwright was a judge for the contest to find a stage Joseph, won by Lee Mead.

The album, Dream On, features Craig Chalmers who the producer signed up to play Joseph in his regional touring show, Lewis Bradley, Chris Barton, Chris Crosby, Antony Hensen, Seamus Cullen and Johndeep More.

It will be launched with a concert at the London Palladium on 17 February.

I wish I'd known about this show earlier. Just saw the advert and I can't afford the train fare and accommodation. Took my daughter and grandson to see Lewis on his opening night in January. Possibly the best show I have ever seen. Lewis was magnificent. Wish I could see him again. Who is this other guy Lee Mead? My grandson was thrilled when he met nanna Jean and Lewis's mum, and I can't thank her enough for sending him a photograph of Lewis. I shall certainly be buying the CD.
