Kitchen W8
Too long and drawn out but very entertaining with excellent special effects
This is a peculiar play and does not work for me. Some of it is very funny but there are real flaws
Alex has a strong powerful voice and was faultless, she is far better now than she was on the X-Factor

Gentle: British choreographer Russell Maliphant and French ballerina Sylvie Guillem in Push
How gently, how quietly love goes in Push. The hush-lush duet for British choreographer Russell Maliphant and French uber-ballerina Sylvie Guillem is a cashmere lesson in fall and follow, she the pedestal lady in a mildly Grecian mini who releases then reaches for her man.
A late start and a packed theatre were to be expected for its third visit to Sadler's Wells in as many years. That must be a record for a contemporary dance event, even one starring Guillem, who has bewitched London audiences for 20-odd years over at the Opera House.
At Sadler's Wells she's dancing an ostensibly modern programme, but even without pointe shoes there's something intensely balletic about Push.
The poise, the refinement, the oceanic elegance - the legs like freshly sharpened scissors, the angora arms, all somehow transmuted into an X-raying of the emotions.
The saturation amber lighting accentuates the effect, as does the after-midnight soundscape that pulses like their hearts.
Push is 30 minutes of pure dance, a sort of neo-neoclassicism, at once a tease of Guillem's gymnast training and an innate story of devotion.
It's preceded by three solos, two for Guillem and one for Maliphant, although it is Guillem's solos you don't forget, and Two is truly mesmeric.
Starting still and sharp, she builds into a windmill of speed and light, her fingers like fireflies, her body refracted like Cubist art.
The show is, obviously, sold out. Dance devotees booked months ago. Even VIPs will have to queue in the cold for returns.
