An awesome and ridiculous film that leaves you thrilled beyond the point of your natural endurance
2012
Theatre
The show has suddenly become quite wonderful, and the galvanising factor is the terrific stage debut of Melanie C
Blood Brothers
Music
The British pop music industry may be eating itself but if Muse are the pick of what it can offer the world in 2010 then British music is in rude health indeed
Muse
I was smitten by both Gilberts enormous luxuriant moustache and the intelligence and nuance of this highly entertaining play
I totally recommend Babbo to anyone who is looking for really good and traditional Italian food
Always been a fan but never seen them live. I was ecstatic to be part of this epic event. WOW!

Looking back, 2003 was a golden year for the Ballet Boyz. The larky duo had worked a two-man turnaround on ballet (from pompous old art form to a friendly one). They had also made TV dance docs that didn’t make you yawn (no mean feat) and were winning awards left, right and centre. They also found time to commission two very good ballets. Broken Fall by Russell Maliphant and Mesmerics by Christopher Wheeldon looked pretty strong five years ago. Seeing them again as part of the Boyz’s Greatest Hits! mixed bill confirms the good choices the pair have made.
Sadly, their dancing isn’t quite in the same league, something the heart-on-sleeve twosome would probably admit. Michael Nunn and William Trevitt still have charisma, but the gallop of time means they are not as nimble as they were. Inviting the Royal Ballet’s young-ish Edward Watson to guest for this run only emphasises their landing thuds and stiffening limbs.
Still, the work is good, their small troupe committed and judgment fine. Getting Strictly Come Dancing baddie Craig Revel Horwood to make a tango for them is inspired. Less convincing was the duet for Edward Watson and Oxana Panchenko by Rafael Bonachela, who lacks the artistic conviction of Horwood, Wheeldon and Maliphant.
