An awesome and ridiculous film that leaves you thrilled beyond the point of your natural endurance
2012
Theatre
The show has suddenly become quite wonderful, and the galvanising factor is the terrific stage debut of Melanie C
Blood Brothers
Music
The British pop music industry may be eating itself but if Muse are the pick of what it can offer the world in 2010 then British music is in rude health indeed
Muse
I was smitten by both Gilberts enormous luxuriant moustache and the intelligence and nuance of this highly entertaining play
I totally recommend Babbo to anyone who is looking for really good and traditional Italian food
Always been a fan but never seen them live. I was ecstatic to be part of this epic event. WOW!
London,
A host of celebrities joined members of the show’s original creative team including director Julie Taymor to celebrate The Lion King's 10th Anniversary in London.
Stars who walked the “yellow carpet” in front of London’s historic Lyceum Theatre included legendary actor (and voice of Mufasa from the animated film of The Lion King) James Earl Jones, Cherie Blair, Gok Wan, Justin Lee Collins, Donna Air, Beverley Knight and Lisa Snowdon.
Also joining the celebrations were former cast members from The Lion King Vanessa White (now in the chart-topping band The Saturdays), Javine Hylton and rapper Master Shortie.
The audience, which included over 250 former cast members from the London production of The Lion King, greeted the 10th Anniversary performance with an unanimous standing ovation, applauding the show’s record-breaking first decade in the West End. Director Julie Taymor appeared on stage along with other members of the show’s creative team for the final curtain call.
Following the performance, invited guests joined the stars of the show for an exclusive party at London’s fashionable Buddha Bar. We were there to follow the event.
